Gym Equipment Maintenance Guide
7 min read
Daily, monthly and annual maintenance that keeps gym equipment safe and extends its life.
Daily
Wipe down contact surfaces, check that pins and collars are present, and log anything that sounds or feels wrong. Most expensive failures start as a noise someone ignored.
Monthly
Vacuum under treadmill motor covers, check belt tension and tracking, inspect cables for fraying, and torque rack and machine bolts.
Annually
Have cardio serviced professionally, replace worn cables and pads, and re-lubricate guide rods. Keep a maintenance log — it also raises resale value.
